From 1940 to 1985, P.SARA was the venue for almost all International matches in then Ceylon and now Sri Lanka, the most memorable moments of our history is at the P,SARA, playing the 01st Test Match, Winning the 01st Test Match with India in 1985.

The club and the quality of the pitches has played a significant role in the development and growth of the Ceylon and Sri Lanka Cricketers and helped Sri Lanka to gain recognition to the International Cricket Council in the year 1981.
